Website Care & Updates

Website care and updates

For businesses who would rather get on with the job. I keep the site working, and I keep you findable.

What is covered each month

Updates

WordPress, plugins and themes kept current and patched, so the site does not drift into the state most old sites end up in.

Backups

An off-site backup taken and actually checked, so a bad day is recoverable rather than theoretical.

Monitoring

Uptime and certificate expiry watched, so you hear about a problem from me rather than from a customer.

Small changes

New prices, staff, photos or opening hours — send them through and they get done.

Plus the full 50-point health check once a year, so nothing quietly slips.

Keeping you found

The maintenance above keeps the site working. This is the part that keeps it earning. It is also the part local trades get sold badly, so here is exactly what it is.

Your Google Business Profile

For a local trade this is where most of the calls come from, ahead of the website itself. Posts, photos, replies to reviews, and your hours, services and service areas kept accurate.

New suburb and service pages

When you start working a new area, or offering something you did not offer last year, it gets its own page. That is how someone searching “plumber Matraville” finds you instead of a lead-generation middleman.

The technical upkeep

Titles, meta descriptions, internal links and the structured data Google reads, kept in order — plus whatever the annual 50-point check turns up. Unglamorous, and most of the work.

A report you can check

Each month: what I did, what changed, and the real numbers from Search Console and your Google Business Profile — searches, calls, direction requests. If it was a quiet month, it will say so.

What I will not do is promise you position one on Google. Nobody can promise that, and anyone who does is guessing with your money. What I will do is show you the numbers every month, so you can decide for yourself whether it is worth continuing.

No lock-in

Month to month. If you do not need it any more, stop it — and you keep the site, the domain and the hosting regardless. That is the point: because leaving costs you nothing, I have to keep earning it every month, and the report is how you check whether I did.

Start with the free check

Send me your web address. I will run the 50-point check and send the report back — no charge, and nothing for sale in it.
